Article Publishing Charge (APC) is a publication service charge that is typically paid on behalf of the author (by the author’s institute, library, funding agency, etc.) or by the author themselves only after their article has been accepted for publication by the handling editor (a member of the journal’s editorial board).
We encourage our authors to publish their papers with us and don’t wish the cost of article publishing charges to be an insurmountable barrier especially to authors from the low and lower middle-income countries. A range of discounts or waivers are offered to authors who are unable to pay our article publishing charges.
We use the World Bank Country Classification table to identify:
