Proof Reading: Reading through all material to ensure that spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other mechanics are correct, and suggesting changes to improve clarity or writing style as needed, while editing documents to ensure that they are error-free in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and so on. Communicating with writers about any concerns about unclear wording or stylistic inconsistency, examining documents for typos and grammatical errors in order to maintain high publishing standards and identifying any potential copyright issues in the text, such as plagiarism or infringement on privacy or libel laws.
Copyediting: Communicating with and collaborating with production teams to ensure that content is published on time, as well as ensuring that the tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of the content are correct. Content is reviewed and revised for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
Designing:
Interior Design: Ends up looking the creation of the book’s actual layout, which includes everything from selecting typefaces and font sizes to deciding where images should go and how they should be formatted.
Cover Design: Creates art, graphics and text designs for covers of books.
